On the occasion of the second edition of the Consécration evening, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, the CAM is paying tribute to 28 cultural workers who have accumulated 1,161 years of dedication to Montréal’s cultural community.

As they embark on a new chapter in their professional lives or a well-deserved retirement, these builders will come together at Maison du Conseil to celebrate their outstanding contribution to the development of arts and culture in Montréal.

Individual achievements, a collective impact

For decades, these driving forces in our cultural ecosystem have assisted artists, supported organizations, developed projects, and contributed to the evolution of artistic practices in Montréal. Their work, often carried out far from the spotlights, has enabled countless creations to emerge and reach their audiences.

Their legacy is quantified well beyond their personal achievements. It is reflected in the strength of the organizations they have helped to grow, the networks of collaboration they have cultivated, and the artistic vitality that is the living heart of our metropolis.

« The pathways we celebrate encompass a multitude of actions that have marked our community: sharing advice, encouraging risks, supporting talents, and carrying visions with conviction. With Consécration, we take the time to recognize this heritage and collectively express our gratitude to these 28 exceptional people.”

– Nathalie Maillé, Executive Director

Recognition from the community

The individuals selected for recognition were identified through a call for suggestions sent to Council-supported organizations, inviting the community to recommend those whose careers deserve recognition.

Celebrate their journeys, preserve their memory

With Consécration, the CAM continues its commitment to recognizing the contributions of those who have devoted a significant part of their professional lives to developing the arts in Montréal.

Beyond celebration, this initiative helps to preserve the memory of the arts community and remind us that Montréal’s cultural richness is built through knowledge, commitment and collaborations that are passed on from one generation to the next.
