30 organismes accompagnés dans leur transition écoresponsable 4

Le Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) is proud to announce a brand new award, in collaboration with Le Conseil québécois des événements écoresponsable (CQEER): Vivats Award – Boldness in Art, to reward artistic organizations that lead the way in terms of eco-responsibility.

The CAM will award a $10,000 grant to the winning organization or artist collective that, in the past year, took innovative and constructive actions to make a significant impact on eco-responsibility.

The Boldness in Art award encourages innovation and creativity. As a part of the CAM’s socio-ecological transition, it will play a major role in promoting environmentally friendly practices within the Montréal arts community. It aims to encourage, support, and recognize innovative and eco-responsible initiatives in the chain of artistic creation, production, and dissemination in Montréal. It aims to protect our planet and preserve the cultural richness of Montréal.

This new award, resulting from the CAM’s and the CQEER’s collaboration, will highlight bold, rigorous, and transparent initiatives. Award winners will present concrete and inspiring new ways to effectively decarbonize artistic creation.

The award ceremony will take place next June, and will bring together winners, finalists, and figures from the municipality and its arts communities. The ceremony will also be an opportunity to share best practices and discuss eco-responsibility in the arts sector. Therefore, eco-responsible organizations and artist collectives in Montréal are invited to apply. The Boldness in Art award is a unique opportunity to showcase green initiatives and practices, and to contribute to a transition towards eco-responsibility.
