Greetings,

For many years, the Conseil des arts de Montréal has synchronized its General Funding Program operating grant cycle with the calendar of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) to make it easier for program clients to prepare their applications. As a result of the CALQ’s decision to postpone the start date of its next Mission Support program evaluation cycle, the CAM is announcing that it will launch the evaluation cycle for its General Funding Program in 2023.

Arts organizations receiving four-year or two-year grants under the General Funding Program should have their grants renewed for 2022, subject to the Conseil’s financial capacity.

The Conseil also wishes to reaffirm its commitment to doing everything in its power to support Montreal’s arts community throughout the extended period of uncertainty we are all experiencing.

In response to the protracted COVID-19 pandemic that is posing challenges for everyone in the arts, the Conseil is continuing its work to support our community and invites artists, artists’ collectives and arts organizations to keep watch for upcoming calls for applications for projects and special initiatives. Just like the city’s artists, the team at the Conseil des arts de Montréal intends to pull out all the stops to keep the arts alive and kicking in the Montreal region.

Best regards,

Nathalie Maillé
Executive Director
