The Conseil des arts de Montréal and the Afropolitan Nomad Festival are pleased to announce that artist Bo Diaw is the proud recipient of the international music creation residency in Africa.
The residency culminates in a 30-minute performance during the eighth Afropolitan Nomad Festival, which will take place on June 24 and 25, 2022, in Douala, Cameroon.
In addition to receiving a $5,000 honorarium, Bo Diaw will benefit from pre-trip training and coaching as well as professional meetings with local and international presenters.
Music creation residency
Offered by the Conseil in partnership with the Afropolitan Nomad Festival, the program aims to promote cultural exchanges and knowledge transfer while developing new international markets for professional musicians in Montréal.
