In late May 2023 organizations receiving operating assistance from the General Funding Program were invited to volunteer for a pilot project promoting the use of Creative Green Tools Canada.
Thanks to the financial support of Caisse Desjardins de la Culture and the collaboration of the Centre for Sustainable Practice in the Arts and the Conseil québécois des événements écoresponsable, this project will support 30 organizations in using Creative Green Tools Canada to help decarbonize the arts sector as they perform their own green transition. Developed specifically for the arts and adapted to the Québec context, Creative Green Tools are carbon calculation and reporting tools that help organizations understand their environmental footprint over time.
Throughout the year, on a voluntary basis, organizations enter information about their activities in Creative Green Tools. They then submit the results along with their final grant reports, within four months of the end of their current fiscal year.
CAM is deeply committed to supporting innovative environmental projects in the arts sector and to close collaboration with the organizations it serves. CAM will therefore assume all costs of accessing the platform and educational resources.
We offer heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to the following organizations for participating:
