Constance V. Pathy stepping down as president of Les Grands Ballets: the Conseil des arts de Montréal salutes her remarkable contribution

With Constance V. Pathy having announced that she will not be renewing her mandate as president and member of the ballet company’s board of directors, the Conseil des arts de Montréal wishes to salute her deep commitment to the performing arts, in particular her extraordinary contribution to Les Grands Ballets, an institution she has presided over since 1989.

A true patron of the arts, Ms. Pathy has earned numerous awards and distinctions for her ongoing engagement, including the Governor General’s Award and appointments to the Ordre national du Québec, the Order of Canada and the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec. In 2017, she won the Prix de la danse de Montréal for her major philanthropic efforts, in particular an exceptional gift she bestowed on Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, which allowed the company to acquire a new home tailored to its needs.

The Conseil des arts de Montréal would like to thank Constance V. Pathy for leading Les Grands Ballets through so many initiatives, cementing its reputation as a world-class company in which we can all take great pride.

We wish you as much success in all your future endeavours!
