Are you an arts organization that is interested in hosting an Indigenous artist or cultural worker?

If you are an Indigenous or non-Indigenous organization that receives multi-year or project support from the Conseil des arts de Montréal or is a first-time applicant, you are eligible for the CAM’s first Indigenous Arts Critical Writing Training Residency. Selected organizations can receive a maximum of $10,000 to host an Indigenous artist or cultural worker-in-residence.

The program has several objectives. Among others, it aims to train the next generation of Indigenous critical writers in the arts sector and to increase the frequency of critical writing by Indigenous artists and cultural workers in the arts and culture community.

Duration of support: ad hoc. Residencies range from two (2) to six (6) months, depending on the needs of the Indigenous artist or cultural worker.
