«Regard sur Montréal» Film Residency

Deadline : closed for 2017.

The Conseil des arts de Montréal, the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) are jointly offering the Regard sur Montréal residency, which is intended for emerging artists, first-generation immigrants from a cultural diverse community or members of a visible minority, in collaboration with Les Films de l'Autre. This $65,000 residency covers the costs of screenwriting, direction, post-production, promotion and distribution.

Lasting 11 months, the residency will allow the recipient to make a short documentary relating to Montreal. The city’s filmography will thus be enriched by the vision of an emerging, culturally diverse artist, offering a fresh perspective on the metropolis.
