Regard sur Montréal Film Residency

Deadline : November 16, 2020

A 10-month residency to be used to make a short documentary film on the theme Regard sur Montréal. Montréal’s filmography will be enriched by an original and compelling vision from a new filmmaker from a culturally diverse background offering a fresh perspective on one facet of our city.

The Conseil des arts de Montréal, the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and the National Film Board of Canada’s Independent Filmmaker Assistance Program (ACIC) are offering this residency for emerging filmmakers who are first-generation immigrants and belong to an ethnic minority or a visible minority, in association with Les Films de l’Autre and Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM).

The $75,000 Regard sur Montréal residency will finance scriptwriting, production, postproduction, promotion and presentation of a film.
