Louise Roy is Chair of the Conseil des arts de Montréal, while Danielle Sauvage is its Executive Director and Secretary. The Conseil des arts consists of 25 members, most of whom are from the arts milieu, but also from the academic, business and municipal communities. All are volunteers and live on the Island of Montréal.
Members are appointed for a three-year term, once renewable, by the Agglomeration Council of Montréal, which names from among those members a chairperson and two vice-chairs. The treasurer of the City of Montréal is ex-officio Treasurer of the Conseil des arts.

Evaluation Committees
Chaired by a member of the Conseil, Evaluation Committees are responsible to evaluate the requests submitted within the General Financial Assistance Program, Touring Programs and Fiscal Sponsorship. They will also have the responsibility of choosing the finalists for the Grand Prix and could be called upon to give their opinion on interdisciplinary files. Their mandate is to formulate recommendations to the Conseil regarding funding once they have reviewed the grant request analyses prepared by the professionals of the Conseil. They can offer testimony on the needs of the sector and identify the issues affecting each discipline.
Each committee will be formed of six to nine peers, i.e. artists or other arts professionals chosen by the Conseil for their personal expertise and expert knowledge of the sector, as well as the various aspects of the discipline in question. Members of the Evaluation committees are appointed for a three-year mandate, which will promote a sense of belonging and a shared vision in the service of Montreal's artistic life.
