Ateliers studios Saguenay-Montréal
Travel-production bursaries in visual arts, digital arts and new media
Deadline: September15, 2012.
Description
The city and the regions may not be as far apart as people think. The Ateliers studios Saguenay-Montréalprogram aims to eliminate distances, create bridges and facilitate exchanges between Montreal and Saguenay. To accomplish this, the program enables a culturally diverse artist from Montreal to take part in a residency in the Ville de Saguenay, and an artist from Saguenay to come and create in Montreal, for a period of three months.
In each of the two cities, the artists will be hosted by dynamic organizations, firmly rooted in their artistic milieu, that will help the artists integrate into these distant environments. This residency program will undoubtedly bring the two cities closer together and create lasting bonds between them.
Each of the two artists will receive a $10,000 bursary from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec to cover the following expenses:
• lodging
• travel
• production materials and supplies
• specialized technical assistance (programmers, engineers, etc.)
Host organizations will also receive a contribution from the Conseil des arts de Montréal and Conseil des arts de Saguenay that will enable the artists to benefit, in a discretionary and limited way, from these services:
• a studio-workshop with Internet access
• access to the host organization’s resources
• assistance and technical services
• guidance, public relations, etc.
Thehost organizations for the following year are:
