Consulting Service – Cultural Diversity

To help culturally diverse artists integrate into the professional arts community, the Conseil des arts de Montréal offers a wealth of information and personalized guidance. Several advisory services are available, according to individual needs:

Orientation : helps artists in their first steps towards launching a professional career.

Welcoming : provides newly-arrived artists with basic information on the way the Quebec cultural community operates, in collaboration with the MICC.

Identification and references : on-the-spot fieldwork to meet or identify culturally diverse artists, then provide them with relevant, up-to-date information on the various resources and services available to professional artists working on the Island of Montreal.

Professional integration : encourages twinning between artists and professional arts associations or government agencies assisting artistic creation.

Networking : encourages artists to make professional contacts in the community to support their career development.

Info-arts meetings : information, training and networking sessions held on a regular basis.
